Transforming web publishing processes with Drupal

webslingerz upgrades Delta Consultants

Delta Consultants represents the North American Operations of the Environment and Safety division of Oranjewoud, a Netherlands-based environment, safety and engineering consulting firm. Delta partnered with webslingerz to refresh the firm's brand on the Internet and deploy a content management system to enable Delta to take charge of its public website.

The site was migrated from a static HTML model to a CMS model based on Drupal. This change gave Delta the ability to create and edit the site content via a WYSIWYG editor. Various tools were created to allow Delta to manage aspects of their workflow, including an HR application and a system to manage a public facing, interactive office locator. A customized permission system was implemented to allow different users within Delta's organization to be assigned different roles within the system. In this way, some users can be given permission to work only on job postings while others can create and edit news stories. The Delta website is now more search engine friendly, more flexible, and easier and less expensive to maintain.

Delta's previous website included an aging interpretation of their brand that did not integrate with their other communications. New web publishing templates were created to effectively present their corporate identity and extend the reach of their existing elements by taking advantage of Flash-based animation.

“webslingerz is very professional, responsive, and delivers quality in their solutions,” said Patricia Heffner, Website Manager at Delta Consultants. “We provided webslingerz with a project scope and our ideas for a content management system. They met our requirements and leveraged our brand standards to create a website that more effectively represents Delta globally.”
